Mercedes-Benz has given the sales release for its electric models EQT and eCitan after the presentation three weeks ago. The EQT will launch in Germany at gross list prices starting at €49,444. The eCitan for commercial customers starts at €36,220 net for the compact model as a panel van.

The base price for the long-wheelbase version is €37,740 net and the eCitan Tourer starts at €39,750 net, according to Mercedes-Benz Vans. While the long-wheelbase version of the eCitan panel van can be ordered immediately, it will appear “at a later date” for the eCitan Tourer for commercial passenger transport – this also applies to the “Mixto” variant with a mixture of seats and load floor. What international prices will look like has not yet been announced.

The gross base price quoted for the EQT includes the ‘Advanced Plus’ equipment package. The vehicle can also be ordered with the ‘Premium’ or ‘Premium Plus’ equipment packages as an option – with a choice of various visual features and connectivity services. The three equipment packages are part of a new offering logic in the van division. “Depending on their preference and regional requirements, they can choose between three preconfigured equipment packages, which bundle functional options that are often ordered in combination. Moreover, thanks to the significantly upgraded standard equipment, they can be sure that they will receive an attractive vehicle right from the start,” the statement says.

In addition to the aforementioned equipment packages, the winter package and the navigation package can also be ordered. Other features, such as the trailer coupling, will continue to be available as individual options.

Both the EQT and the eCitan come with a four-year maintenance package, which covers the costs of maintenance work according to the service booklet and manufacturer’s specifications, as well as the Mercedes-Benz battery certificate for up to 160,000 kilometres or eight years.

We presented the technical data in detail at the premiere about three weeks ago. Therefore, here only in brief: Both the eCitan and the EQT use the drive of the Renault Kangoo E-Tech Electric with a 45 kWh battery and a 90 kW electric motor. DC charging power is 80 kW (ten to 80 per cent in 38 minutes), but DC charging is not standard in every variant. There are also differences in AC charging.
