Amsterdam brings forward ICE ban for most vehicles
From 2025, the Dutch capital will allow only zero-emission taxis, vans, trucks, scooters, and mopeds to run in large parts of Amsterdam. The new rule will apply to vehicles that will be newly registered as of 2025, with an important exception.

Mercedes to leave transporter cooperation with Renault

Mercedes launches the EQT electric transporter
Mercedes-Benz has given the sales release for its electric models EQT and eCitan after the presentation three weeks ago. The EQT will launch in Germany at gross list prices starting at €49,444. The eCitan for commercial customers starts at €36,220 net for the compact model as a panel van.

ZF starts series production of transporter e-drive
The supplier ZF has started series production of the electric central drive CeTrax lite. The new driveline is suitable for use in light commercial vehicles up to 7.5 tons. ZF says it has already received orders for the CeTrax from Asia and America.

US EPA presents stricter emissions proposals until 2032
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has proposed far-reaching emission reductions for new passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Specifically, car emissions are to be reduced by 56 per cent by 2032 – which could probably only be achieved with significantly more electric vehicles.

Thailand Post to electrify fleet within five years
The Thailand Post aims to replace its current postal vehicle fleet with electric vehicles within the next five years. By the end of 2023, the company plans to have integrated 250 electric vans on major delivery routes.
