Lion Electric presents the Lion5 Class 5 electric truck
Lion Electric has officially presented the Lion5, an all-electric Class 5 truck powered by Lion’s new in-house engineered and manufactured 800V battery packs. The Lion5 has a maximum payload of up to 12,500 lbs. and production is to start before the end of the year.

Quantron signs Westgass Hydrogen as next H2 supplier in the Nordics
Quantron and Westgass Hydrogen have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to run and fuel hydrogen trucks across the Nordic countries. The two companies will combine their offerings with Quantron deploying fuel cell electric vehicles and Westgass Hydrogen supplying the fuel.

Volta provides electric trucks for testing in the USA
Volta Trucks will unveil its Volta Zero electric truck at the US ACT Expo trade show in early May this year. US customers are expected to receive some examples of the Volta Zero in Classes 6 and 7 for fleet testing by the end of 2023, followed soon after by the market launch.

Volta Trucks receives subsidy support from Germany
Swedish electric truck start-up Volta Trucks is receiving funding of 24.6 million euros from the German Federal Ministry of Transport to subsidize vehicle costs for 151 units of its Volta Zero. Volta Trucks plans to deliver the first of the funded electric trucks to customers before the end of 2023.
