Tesla announces scrappage scheme bonus in the UK
Tesla has launched a new car scrappage scheme in the UK for customers who trade in an older petrol or diesel car model. Over June, customers whose car is valued at less than £2,000 will get £2,000 off the purchase of a new Model 3 or Model Y.

Data leaked appears to show Tesla Autopilot malfunctions

South Pasadena police goes electric with Tesla leases

Tesla breaks delivery and production records – again
Tesla manufactured 440,808 and delivered 422,875 EVs in the first quarter of 2023 – a new record in both categories. Delivery figures are up 36 per cent compared to the 310,048 reported during the same period last year. Compared to the already record-breaking figures of Q4 2022, deliveries are up four per cent.

NHTSA has Tesla recall 362,000 US vehicles over Autopilot software
The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is forcing Tesla to update its FSD (Full Self Driving) software for the Autopilot driver assistance system in around 362,000 vehicles. Elon Musk is furious, especially about the classification as a “recall” – again.

Production of the first battery components has kicked off at Tesla’s German factory in Grünheide. Jörg Steinbach, Brandenburg’s Minister of Economic Affairs, informed the state parliament after visiting the factory. Tesla itself has not yet commented on the commissioning.

Tesla steps up production to meet growing demand
Tesla plans to produce an average of 20,000 vehicles at its Shanghai factory in February and March. This is according to an internal planning memo available to the news agency Reuters. That would bring the production roughly back to the level of September 2022, when the factory turned out 82,088 Model 3 and Model Y.
