Solaris secures record order from Germany
Solaris has announced a record order for hydrogen buses from the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern: The transport company Rebus Regionalbus Rostock has ordered 52 fuel cell buses from the Polish manufacturer, including 47 vehicles with a length of twelve metres and five articulated buses.

Hamburger Hochbahn orders five H2 buses from Solaris
Public transport provider Hamburger Hochbahn continues electrifying its fleet using fuel cell buses. The transport operator has ordered five units from the Polish manufacturer Solaris. The Solaris Urbino 12 Hydrogen are scheduled for delivery in the second half of 2024 and will be used in regular passenger service in Hamburg.

Fraunhofer Institutes receive €80 million for fuel cell production
A consortium of 19 Fraunhofer institutes has received a funding decision of 80 million euros from the German Ministry of Digital Affairs and Transport (BMDV) for the project ‘H2GO – National Fuel Cell Production Action Plan’. With this, the BMDV wants to promote the ramp-up of fuel cell production for heavy-duty transport in Germany.

Funding granted for 1,200 low- and zero-emission buses in Germany
The German Federal Ministry of Digital Affairs and Transport (BMDV) has handed over funding certificates to 41 more public transport authorities. With these commitments, around 1,200 additional low- and zero-emission buses are to be procured and put into operation across the country.
