Volvo takes select PHEVs off the UK market
Volvo has taken several plug-in hybrid variants of some of its most popular models off the market in the UK as part of a major cull. The Swedish brand announced that it will affect PHEV variants of its XC40 SUV, as well as the S90 saloon and Cross Country-badged estates in the UK.

Apcoa launches 500 EV charge points at car parks in the UK
Parking provider Apcoa says it opened its first Urban Mobility Hub in the UK. The charging hub offers five AC chargers (22 kW) and twelve Tesla Superchargers of the latest generation. The opening is part of Apcoa pushing 500 EV charging points across the UK.

ScottishPower & HiTrans team up to expand ChargePlace Scotland

Swarco announces plans for new HPC network in the UK
UK charging infrastructure provider Swarco Smart Charging announces the roll-out of an HPC charging network across England, Scotland and Wales. Under the name PoGo, over 2,000 ultra-fast charging stations are to be built at public facilities such as grocery shops and cafés over the next four years.

Dundee scraps hydrogen fuel cell buses
The Scottish city of Dundee has scrapped a project that would have seen twelve hydrogen fuel cell buses joining public transport. The Council said it needed the cash elsewhere since costs had gone up, for example, in construction, so hydrogen became “less of a priority”.

Spot-check shows Scottish chargers woefully under-maintained

Scotland budgets £28m to foster niche heavy-duty ZEVs (ZEMIF)

First Bus opens the UK’s largest charging depot in Scotland

McGill’s places follow-up order with Yutong

NHS Lothian spends £525,000 on new electric vehicles
NHS Lothian in Scotland has invested over half a million pounds into its electric fleet. £525,000 recently bought the National Health Service in Lothian 58 electric vehicles and 46 charging stations and brought up fleet electrification to 25 per cent.

Aberdeen receives 22 electric double-deckers
In Scotland, Stagecoach Bluebird has unveiled 22 BYD-ADL Enviro400EV electric double decker buses. The public transport provider will put the fully electric buses into operation in the city of Aberdeen at the end of this month.
