MAN decides against developing Euro-7 buses

Duvenbeck aims for 120 MAN eTrucks

Logistics service provider Duvenbeck has signed a memorandum of understanding with MAN Truck & Bus for the deployment of 120 MAN eTrucks to be delivered by 2026. The fully electric 40-tonne truck will be the first to run for Volkswagen Group Logistics from 2024 onwards.

VW Group delivered over 141,000 BEVs in Q1

The Volkswagen Group handed over 141,000 BEVs to customers worldwide in the first quarter of 2023. Compared to the same period last year, which was more affected by supply bottlenecks, the group’s BEV deliveries rose by 42 per cent.

Sono Motors has dropped the Sion

DB Schenker to procure 100 electric MAN trucks

The logistics service provider DB Schenker plans to procure a total of 100 heavy-duty e-trucks from MAN by 2026. The first MAN eTruck vehicles are to be handed over in the first half of 2024. This is provided for in an agreement freshly signed by DB Schenker and MAN Truck & Bus.

Vikingbus grows electric bus fleet in Copenhagen

The Danish bus company Vikingbus has ordered 45 electric buses from MAN. Vikingbus will deploy the e-buses of type Lion City 12 E on routes in the greater Copenhagen area from spring next year. They will join a growing fleet of zero-emission vehicles out for Vikingbus.

MAN takes order for 53 electric buses in Hamburg

MAN Truck & Bus has just received two orders from Hamburg for a total of 53 electric buses. Hamburger Hochbahn has ordered 17 Lion’s City 18 E, while an order from Verkehrsbetriebe Hamburg-Holstein (VHH) includes 30 electric solo and six articulated buses. The first electric buses are to be delivered this year.

Traton increases research & development investment

The Traton Group has increased its investment in research and development for electromobility. The company now plans to spend 2.6 billion euros on this by 2026, compared with 1.6 billion euros previously planned by 2025.
