In the Spanish capital, the public transport operator EMT Madrid has launched the first high-speed electric bus line. The line connects the districts of Valdebebas and Sanchinarro with the Ramón y Cajal Hospital over 31 kilometres and will be served by ten electric buses from Irizar from May.

The London transport company Go-Ahead has ordered 20 electric buses and charging infrastructure from the Spanish manufacturer Irizar. The order includes 20 examples of the Irizar ie tram 12-metre electric bus with right-hand drive, as well as two 450 kW pantograph chargers and 100 kW depot chargers.

Irizar has won a contract to deliver twelve electric buses to Palma on the island of Mallorca. EMT Palma expects deliveries of the Irizar ie tram e-buses to begin in early 2023. This time, Irizar has added an extra to the roof of the buses.

VBSH, the public transport authority of the Swiss town of Schaffhausen has ordered the remaining 13 electric buses in an existing order with Spain’s Irizar following successful testing. They expect delivery to start next summer as VBSH aims to convert the entire city bus fleet to electric by 2028.
