General Motors to use Tesla charging standard from 2025

From 2025, General Motors will rely on Tesla’s charging port in the USA and Canada – exclusively. GM wants to provide adapters so that all cars equipped with the North American Charging Standard (NACS) can also charge at CCS stations. This makes GM the second major US carmaker to commit to Tesla’s charging standard.

Mercedes to source ‘green’ steel from Sweden

Mercedes-Benz has signed a supply contract with the Swedish start-up H2 Green Steel (H2GS) for around 50,000 tonnes of virtually CO2-free steel per year for its European press plants. The steel is to be used in various series models of the carmaker.

Data leaked to the German Handelsblatt suggests that Tesla has bigger technical problems with its Autopilot driver assistance system than previously thought. Insiders leaked 100 gigabytes of data said to originate from Tesla’s IT system and the issue appear to go way beyond “phantom braking”.
