Today Square Enix has made a bunch of really spiffy Final Fantasy XVI merchandise available for pre-order, including beautiful plushies portraying Torgal and more.
We start with a majestic plushie reproducing adult Torgal, the game's adorable good boy and Clive's faithful companion. He's available in North America and Europe for $119.99/€109.99, releasing respectively in January and February 2024.
The same ear cuff is available in pendant form in North America and Europe for $249.99/€239.99. Lastly, Benedikta's "Wings of Promise" pendant is available in North America and Europe for the same pricing.
The release window for all the jewelry is August 2023 in North America and September 2023 in Europe. You can check everything out in the gallery below.
Final Fantasy XVI is coming for PS5 on June 22. If you'd like to learn more, you can read my preview and enjoy our interview with producer Naoki Yoshida and art director Hiroshi Minagawa. A demo of the game is releasing tomorrow, including most of the content that I tested for my preview, so you'll soon be able to form your own opinion. On top of that, we just learned that PlatinumGames and the Kingdom Hearts team at Square Enix helped out with development.
Speaking of Final Fantasy news, a couple of days ago we saw a new trailer of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which will release in early 2024. Considering that the next expansion for Final Fantasy XIV will likely be announced in July and should come in 2024 as well (if the usual patterns are preserved), fans of the franchise have a lot to look forward to over the next year or so.
